Food tastes better when it comes with a story.
Hi, I’m Meaghan. This is my kitchen notebook: approachable, flavor-forward recipes inspired by family and culture, written so you can actually make them on a weeknight.
How the recipes here are made
I’m trying something a little different. Every new recipe on this site starts as a draft built with AI help. That gets me a solid starting point fast: a spice blend to try, a method to follow, a shopping list. The real test happens at my stove.
- Designed with AI help. The first draft of each recipe, and the illustration that goes with it, are made with AI tools.
- Checked before it posts. Times, amounts and steps get a review before a recipe goes live, and anything that doesn’t add up gets fixed.
- Cooked and rated. Each week I cook one of these recipes in my own kitchen and score it.
- Fixed for good. Whatever didn’t work gets corrected on the original recipe, and the AI picture is swapped for a photo of the real thing.
Prompt to Plate
AI helped design it. I made it. Now let’s rate it.
Every Wednesday I post an honest review of one recipe I cooked that week: scores for flavor, ease and how well the recipe worked as written, what was great, what flopped, and the fixes I’m making.
What the notes on a recipe mean
- Not kitchen-tested yet. The recipe was developed with AI help and checked, but I haven’t cooked it yet. Trust your instincts, and use a thermometer where the recipe calls for one.
- Kitchen-tested. I’ve cooked it, rated it in Prompt to Plate, and updated the recipe with what I learned.
- AI-generated illustration. The picture shows the idea, not my actual dish. Once I’ve cooked it, a real photo takes its place.
